Should you be buying a home?
Should you be buying a home? How much thought have you put into this, or are you working on impulse?
Home buying is a serious decision, it's one of the largest, if not the largest purchase most people make in their life times.
Many people want to buy a home, but why? For some it's the sense of stability. But buying the wrong home can be devastating. You should buy a home that you can easily afford, otherwise how much are you going to enjoy your home if you are always working?
Another important question is How long do you intend to live there?
A rule of thumb is that it rarely makes sense to buy if you expect to move within two years. That's because there are costs associated with selling and buying real estate. However, most buyers live in their new home an average of seven years or more. If that fits you, it almost always makes sense to buy a home, in practically any real estate market.
If you have determined why you want to buy a home, and considered the length of time you are going to live at this home, then lets continue!
